4D3N Selingan Turtle Island + Sepilok + Gomantong + Sukau + Oxbow Tour

Day 1 : Sandakan / Selingan Turtle Island ( L,D )

Meet and pick up from Sandakan Airport and transfer to the jetty. At 0930hrs, boat departs to Turtle Island. It takes about an hour to reach Selingan Turtle Island which lies 40km north of Sandakan in the Sulu Sea off Sabah's east coast. Selingan Turtle Island is the main nesting area for the Green Turtles and Hawksbill Turtles. Lunch, free at leisure ideal for relaxing, swimming and snorkeling. After dinner, prepare to wait for the Park Ranger to inform of the sighting of a turtle laying eggs. Witness the collecting of eggs from the nesting site, planting them in the hatchery and see baby turtles scrambling to the open sea upon released on the shore. Overnight at Selingan Turtle Island Chalet.

Day 2 : Sabah Park Jetty / Sepilok Orang Utan / Bilit ( B,L,D )

After breakfast depart at 0700hrs, return to Sandakan. Proceed to the world famous Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre situated in the Kabili-Sepilok Forest Reserve. Watch the video show documentary rehabilitation at orphaned Orang Utan before taking a boardwalk through the lowland rainforest to view the feeding platform. Witness the feeding of Orang Utan at 1000hrs. Continue the journey (approx 2 hrs) to Bilit Rainforest Lodge located beside the Lower Kinabatangan River in the village of Bilit, a base for easy exploration of the incredible diversity of plant, mammal and birds at the Kinabatangan region. Upon arrival at Bilit Jetty, take a boat transfer to the lodge. Welcome drink, short briefing and check-in. Lunch at Bilit Restaurant. At 1600hrs join a river cruise (SIC) in search of endemic Proboscis monkeys, different species of birds and other wildlife along the river bank.Overnight at Bilit Rainforest Lodge.

Day 3 : Sukau / Ox Bow Lakes ( B,L,D )

OPTIONAL- MORNING CRUISE / JUNGLE TREK TO OX BOW LAKE

OPTIONAL-Early Morning Cruise (SIC) or Jungle Trek (SIC) to Ox-Bow Lake for bird watching. Return to lodge for late breakfast. Free at leisure. Lunch at Bilit Rainforest Lodge Restaurant. At 1600hrs join a river cruise (SIC) in search of more species primates and wildlife along the Kinabatangan River bank. Overnight at Bilit Rainforest Lodge.

Day 4 : Bilit / Gomantong ( B,L )

After breakfast Check-out. Return to Sandakan (approx 3 hrs drive) through rustic countryside studded with villages en-route to Gomantong Caves located in the heartland of the Gomantong Forest Reserve, a home of millions bats and swiftlets. Explore the biggest bird’s nest cave in Sabah and the best-managed edible birds’ nest. After lunch transfer to Sandakan Airport.
