Day 1: Siem Reap – Arrival
Upon your arrival, you will be greeted by our escort guide and driver then transfer directly to hotel for check in. Simply enjoy your own time or make your first own walking tour around central area; old market, pup-street or even night market. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 2: Full Day Angkor Discovery
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Breakfast is at hotel. We set off at 8.00am for full day guided Angkor exploration, start with the south gate of Angkor Thom atop 4 giant faces, stroll to explore Bayon temple consisting of more than 200 smiling faces in stone, admired by interesting temples including Baphuon, Phimeanakas, terrace of leper king, terrace of elephant & Ta Prohm temple adorned with the stunning tree roots where Lara Croft Tomb Raider was filmed. Enjoy delicious set lunch at Triple K air conditioning restaurant. After lunch, continue to witness the marvelous Angkor Wat – the world’s heritage listed by UNESCO in 1992 and the largest monument in the world. Unlock the amazing history, its ancestral incredible, architectural masterpieces and the finest carvings dates back to the Khmer Empire when it dominated the largest parts of Southeast Asia. Next, enjoy the hiking up to Phnom Bakheng to watch the spectacular sunset or alternatively go to Pre Rup temple as if Phnom Bakheng is always touristy. Evening, transfer to have set dinner followed by Apsara traditional dance performance at our selected local restaurant. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 3: Kompong Phluk Stilt Houses, Mangrove & Flight to Luang Prabang
Breakfast is at hotel. We set off at 8.00am to Kompong Phluk; one of the stilt house village located at the edge of Tonle Sap Lake. On the way, we stop to stroll around
Rolous market with interesting of local trades then we drive and process to embark a private sheltered boat, enjoy sightseeing along the canal before the excursion reaches the stilt houses. The boat slides slowly through high stilted houses, come across the highlight of fishing activities. Witness how life works on the water and how people make the lake as home. Resume by canoe to explore the mangroves with pleasant surroundings, we may see the water-birds and monkeys before we dock to our regular boat to see the great lake of Tonle Sap, unlock Tonle Sap’s eco-system and its rich biosphere. Disembark and return to hotel for the rest of your free time in Siem Reap before transferring to airport for flight (17:05 – 18:35) to Luang Prabang, Laos. Upon your arrival in Luang Prabang, our tour guide and driver will meet you at arrival gate then transfer to hotel for check in. Have free time in the evening. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Note: We alternatively go to visit floating village at Chong Kneas instead of Kompong Phluk if the water level is still low. At Chong Kneas, it doesn’t have mangrove so canoe is not available. It’s a bit difficult to predict on the weather (Generally, it begins to rain from July).
Day 4: Pak Ou Caves & Luang Prabang Tour
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch
Breakfast is at hotel. We depart to explore the mystery of Pak Ou Caves where you will see hundreds of sacred Buddha statues, lacquered in gold in different shapes. Embark the boat cruising along the great Mekong River, passing the stunning nature, from the distance, you will see the limestone cliffs where we disembark to discover the hidden Pak Ou Caves. Learn from your guide about religious story and wander to capture photos of the impressive Buddha images. Return and admired by Lao rice wine, paper wood handicraft & observe silk weaving. Have lunch at a selected local restaurant. Afternoon, visit the notable Royal Palace Museum which dates from the early 20th century and it’s a good chance for you to learn more about Lao culture and history. Next, wander around Wat Xieng Thong with its important history& its characteristic Luang Prabang style. Near the end of the day, we climb to the top of Mount Phousi to watch spectacular sunset (if weather is good) over Luang Prabang & the Mekong. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 5: Alms Ceremony & Kuang Si Waterfall
Meal: Breakfast, Dinner
Breakfast is at hotel. Today we rise a bit early to see alms giving ceremony, it is good chance to learn about local culture when monks are in saffron robes from Luang Prabang’s temples walking in long silent processions searching for offerings left to them by the faithful. Return hotel for breakfast before strolling around Phousi Market for interesting trading activities, drive & en-route at some ethnic villages to unlock the culture & local life. Continue to the most beautiful Kuang Sy waterfall in Laos, enjoy swimming and cooling down for a few hours or you may want to trek down the jungle trails to visit black bear sanctuary (included) and witness how it’s being protected. Evening, enjoy set dinner at a selected local restaurant before we go to idyllic Luang Prabang night market for shopping. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 6: Luang Prabang - Flight to Bangkok
Breakfast is at hotel. Enjoy the rest of your free time in Luang Prabang before our driver (no guide) transfers you to airport flight departure (12:20 – 14:35) to Bangkok, Thailand. Upon your arrival, meet our escort guide and driver then transfer you directly to hotel for check in. Have free time in the evening. Overnight in Bangkok.
Day 7: Maeklong Railway Market & Damnoen Saduak Floating Market
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch
Breakfast is at hotel. We set off at 8.00am from hotel, drive passing charming countryside to visit Maeklong Station Market – have a guided stroll to see various regional fresh fruits/vegetables included interesting trading activities along the Mae Klong railway. Continue to take a long tail boat to explore the famous Damnoen Saduak Floating Market where you will experience the traditional Thai market with numerous vendors selling local foods, tropical fruits and products from their boats. Today your lunch is served at a local restaurant. The tour is admired by a visit to coconut products and orchid farm. Return back to Bangkok. Overnight in Bangkok.
Day 8: Bangkok City Tour & Dinner Cruise
Meal: Breakfast, Dinner
After having breakfast, we journey out to explore the significant Grand Palace – the most important shrine in the kingdom of Thailand, followed by the emerald Buddha, Wat Po is the most talk-about, the oldest and largest Wat in Bangkok. Take boat along Chao Phraya River to explore the canal network around Thonburi, passing traditional houses on stilts and colorful flowers decorate their verandas, wooden shacks, temples and many more. Stop to visit Wat Arun (temple of the dawn) then we have chance to feed the catfish before disembarking and go shopping in the afternoon. Evening, transfer to Chao Phraya Cruise for dinner, enjoy the stunning view of Bangkok while the cruise slides slowly along Chao Phraya River. Overnight in Bangkok.
Day 9: Bangkok - Free Time & Departure
Breakfast is at hotel. Simply enjoy the rest of your free time in Bangkok before our guide and driver transfers you to airport for flight back home. Say Goodbye to Thailand.
