2D1N SIMILAJAU NATIONAL PARK
Similajau National Park is situated in the Bintulu Division and encompasses an area of approximately 7,067 hectares. It was gazetted in 1978 with the primary aim of conserving the flora, fauna and unique geological characteristics of the coastal area. The natural attractions of the area include fast-flowing streams with rapids set amidst a cool jungle setting. The clear waters of these streams are stained by the tannin acid of the peat swamp, lending it an attractive ruby-red tinge. The park is covered with a mix of vegetation ranging from those commonly found on the littoral fringes to heath and mixed dipterocarp forest. Such diverse habitats naturally support an equally diverse wildlife.
Day 1 :
0800 AM – Meet at hotel lobby and depart to Similajau National Park from Miri. The drive will take us through Niah to Bintulu, Similajau National Park is a coastal national park with Turtle Beach as an attraction. Upon arrival, we are require to register at the Park HQ and check in for the accommodation before we start our trekking along the beach trail ( One way trekking – Selunsur Rapid, Turtle Beach 1,Turtle Beach 2,Golden Beach, Selubong Pool ). Return to the park canteen for late lunch . Evening free at leisure at your own. Dinner at Park Canteen & overnight at Park Chalet.
Day 2 :
Breakfast at Park Canteen & free at leisure until transfer back to Miri
