ATHENS – SANTORINI - KALAMPAKA

Day 1 : Arrive Athens
Arrive Athens Airport and welcomed by your English Speaking Escort (ESA). Transfer to hotel for overnight. Overnight in Athens

Day 2 : Athens Santorini
After breakast, transfer to Piraeus port (without escort) to take ferry to Santorini island. Upon arrival Santorini, meet your local escort and transfer to hotel. Free afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Santorini.

Day 3 : Santorini
Breakfast at Hotel. Then join full day island tour. First stop at Akrotiri archaeological site (optional visit). Then visit black sandy beach of Perivolos (option lunch). Our next stop will be at Megalochori. The tour goes on with a visit of Pyrgos village. Climbing from the square up to the castle of Pyrgos. The village has many churches, around 33, but the most famous is the Monastery of Profitis Ilias.

You will join the most fabulous panoramic view of the island from Profitis Ilias yard. Besides, you will visit Kasteli village, which is on the highest point of Santorini island. Next stop for winetasting at one of the most interesting wineries of the island. Last but not least visit Oia, where you will admire the wonderful sunset. End up at hotel. Overnight in Santorini.

Day 4 : Santorini – Athens
Free leisure till transfer time. Transfer to Thira port to take ferry to Athens. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel. Overnight in Athens.

Day 5 : Athens - Delphi – Kalampaka
After breakfast, departure with your guide (ESG) for 2-Day tour in Delphi & Kalampaka. You will pass through Thebes, Levadia and Arachova. Arrival at Delphi, known in ancient times as the navel of the world, on the south-western spur of Mount Parnassus in the valley of Phocis and visit the archaeological site, the Temple of Apollo famous for its oracle and the Museum of Delphi, including the bronze Charioteer, the Naxian Sphinx and the Statue of Antinoos.

Stop at the picturesque mountain village of Arachova, built on the south slopes of Parnassus, well known for its attractive hand-woven carpets, rugs and quilts, as well as for its wine and cheese. Then departure to Kalampaka for dinner and overnight

Day 6 : Kalampaka – Athens
Departure and visit the nearby Byzantine monasteries built on top of rock towers and providing fantastic views over the plain. Meteora is included on the UNESCO world heritage monument. The monasteries are perched on top of towers of sandstone, which for centuries provided totally inaccessible retreats for the monks.

Meteora is considered one of the most beautiful areas of mainland Greece, and its monasteries are one of the country's most unique attractions. On the way back to Athens, you will pass by the heroic monument of Leonidas king of Sparta in Thermopylae (15’ stop for photos).Then continue to drive Athens for overnight.

Day 7 : Athens City Tour
After breakfast, check out then join Half Day Athens City Tour. Start visiting Panathinaikos Stadium, the cradle of the first modern Olympic Games that took place in 1896 (short stop). Proceed passing by Roman Temple of Olympian Zeus.

Continue passing by National Garden, Hadrian’s Arc, St. Paul’s Church, Schliemann’s House (Numismatic Museum), Catholic Cathedral, Academy, University, National Library, Old Parliament, Constitution Square, Parliament House, Tomb of the Unknown soldier, Russian Orthodox Church, and finally visit Acropolis site: visiting The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally "the harmony between material and spirit", the monument that "puts order in the mind", the Parthenon.

Next visit the place where at last the statues found their home and admire the wonders of the classical era: The new Acropolis museum. In the afternoon transfer to Athens Airport for departure.
