DAY 1: ARRIVAL PARO – THIMPHU (50 Kms, 1.5-2 Hrs) (No Meal)

Arrive at Paro International Airport and experience a warm welcome as you touch down in one of the world’s most stunning mountain airports. Begin your Bhutan adventure with a scenic drive to Thimphu, the vibrant capital nestled in the heart of the Himalayas. Along the way, visit Chuzom, where two rivers converge beside shrines of three iconic architectural styles, and explore Tamchog Lhakhang, a historic 14th-century temple renowned for its unique iron-chain bridge. DAY 2: THIMPHU SIGHTSEEING (B, D)

Immerse yourself in the unique charm of Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital city, where ancient traditions blend seamlessly with modern life—noticeably, there are no traffic lights here. Begin your sightseeing with the Durga/Shiv Temple, then enjoy panoramic valley views from Buddha Point and Coronation Park. Encounter the legendary takin, Bhutan’s national animal, at the Takin Zoo, and join locals paying homage at the Memorial Chorten in remembrance of the revered Third King. Continue your journey at Thimphu Dzong, and conclude your day at Simply Bhutan, an interactive museum where you can experience archery—the national sport—try on traditional attire, and engage with authentic Bhutanese crafts (please note: closed on Tuesdays). Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Thimphu.


DAY 3: THIMPHU – PUNAKHA (75 Kms, 3 Hrs) (B, D)

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive from Thimphu, stopping first at Simtokha Dzong, Bhutan’s oldest fortress, built in 1629 and famed for its spiritual heritage. Ascend to Dochula Pass, perched at 3,100 meters, for breathtaking views of over a dozen Himalayan peaks and the iconic 108 memorial chortens—a must-see for visitors seeking stunning photo opportunities. Descend into the subtropical Punakha valley, visiting Chhimi Lhakhang, the famous Fertility Temple blessed by the legendary “Divine Madman.” Discover Punakha Dzong, often called Bhutan’s most beautiful fortress, nestled between two rivers and steeped in royal history. Don’t miss the Punakha Suspension Bridge, the longest in Bhutan, adorned with colorful prayer flags. Relish dinner and unwind with an overnight stay in Punakha.

DAY 4: PUNAKHA SIGHTSEEING (B, D)

Start your day with an invigorating hike along the picturesque Mo Chhu river, leading to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten. Visit Rinpung Dzong, a majestic 17th-century monastery and government center, then stroll across Nya Mey Zam, the iconic “bridge with no fish.” Take time to explore Paro town, filled with vibrant shops and cultural sites. Savor dinner and settle in for an overnight stay in Paro.

DAY 6: PARO – TAKTSANG MONASTERY EXCURSION (B, D)

Experience the ultimate adventure with a trek to Taktsang Monastery, famously known as the "Tiger’s Nest." Perched dramatically on a cliffside 900 meters above Paro valley, this sacred site is where Guru Rinpoche is believed to have arrived on a flying tigress, bringing Buddhism to Bhutan in the 8th century. The challenging 2–3 hour hike rewards you with breathtaking views and the spiritual serenity of the monastery. For added comfort, opt for a horse ride up to the viewpoint (at your own expense). Enjoy a relaxing evening and a delicious dinner, followed by an overnight stay in Paro.

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and transfer to Paro International.
