SRI LANKA TOUR ITINERARY.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL COLOMBO, SRI LANKA

  • Arriving in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
  • Then, you will be welcomed by our representative & leave to the Hotel at Full Moon Resort, Negambo 3* / Amagi Lagoon 4* or Similar

DAY 2: SIRIGRIYA (B/L/D)

  • After breakfast leaves to Sigiriya via visiting Negambo Fish Market, (Approx 3 hrs).
  • Sigiriya - is home to the 5th Century “Fortress in the Sky” which is perhaps the most fantastic single wonder of the Island.
  • It is also known as Lion Rock because of the huge lion that used to stand at the entrance to the fortress.
  • On its summit are the foundations of what was once a great and sumptuous palace and gardens complete with swimming pool.
  • On one of the stairways, the only known ancient work of Sinhala secular painting survived in the form of Frescoes of life-sized damsels in all the freshness and delicacy of their original color. (Approx 3 hrs visit).
  • After proceeding to the Hotel, Dinner & overnight stay at Fresco Water Villa 3* / Chaaya Village 4* or similar.

DAY 3: KANDY (B/L/D)

  • After Breakfast leaves to Kandy via visiting Matale Spice Garden, to see the different spices, which Sri Lanka is famous for.
  • You will be introduced to different spices which Sri Lanka is famous for. Kandy, including Upper Lake Drive, Market Square, Arts & Crafts Centre, Gem Museum & Temple of Tooth Relic.
  • Kandy the hill capital, venue of the annual Perahera Kandy is an example of Buddhism's influence in Sri Lanka today.
  • Lunch at Restaurant.
  • Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - ever since 4th Century A.D, when the Buddha's Tooth was brought to Sri Lanka hidden from sacrilegious hands in an Orissan princess' hair, the Relic has grown in repute and holiness in Sri Lanka and throughout the Buddhist world.
  • By the night experience a colorful show where you will be taken to mind blowing Sri Lankan culture extravaganza…
  • Get ready for the Heavy drumbeat and acrobatic act. Dinner & Overnight stay at Oakray Regency, 3* / Ozo Kandy 4* Kandy

DAY 4: NUWARA ELIYA (B/L/D)

  • After breakfast proceeds to Nuwara Eliya.
  • Sri Baktha Hanuman temple at Ramboda.
  • On these hills of Ramboda where Hanuman was searching for Sitadevi, the Chinmaya mission of Sri Lanka built a temple with Hanuman as the presiding deity.
  • On every full moon day, special pooja’s are conducted and witnessed by thousands of devotees. This temple is called Sri Baktha Hanuman temple.
  • The image of Lord Hanuman here is 16 feet.
  • Seetha Amman temple The stream that runs from the hill catered to the needs of Sitadevi during her stay at Ashok Vatika.
  • She is said to have bathed in this stream. It is believed that the idols have been worshipped at this spot for centuries.
  • Now there is a temple for Lord Rama, Sitadevi, Lakshmana, and Hanuman by the side of this stream.
  • Lunch at Restaurant. Enjoy “Tea experience”, which involves a visit a plantation to observe firsthand the process, starting from the plucking field where it all begins with the picking of “two leaves and a bud” to the factory where the processing begins.
  • Currently, Sri Lanka is one of the largest exporter of tea worldwide.
  • Nuwara Eliya The ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka, is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls, and Tea Plantations.
  • It is supposed to be one of the coolest places on the Island, but it is really just like an English spring day, although the temperature does drop at night.
  • The Victoria Park, in the middle of the town, is a lovely place for a stroll or a picnic and is also good for Birding as you get some rare birds in this Park.
  • Dinner & Overnight stay at the Stamford Hotel 3* / Glen Fall Reach Hotel (Boutique Hotel) Nuwara Eliya.

DAY 5: GALLE (B/L/D)

  • After breakfast proceeds to Galle - 72 miles from Colombo.
  • This is the most ancient and important harbor of the country until the Colombo Harbour was established.
  • This was captured by the Portuguese in 1587 A.D, Dutch in 1640 A.D, and British in 1796 A.D. Famous for lace-making,
  • Ebony carving, Gem cutting & polishing, out on shooting chanced on Nuwara Eliya plains, and Sir Edward Barnes investigated on it. (App 01 – 1 ½ hrs to visit).
  • After Lunch Checking to Hotel, Dinner & overnight stay at Coco Royal Beach 3* / Casa Blue Ripple (Luxury Villa) Wadduwa.

DAY 6: COLOMBO (B/L/D)

  • After Breakfast leave to Colombo, Visit Panchamuga Anjaneyar Temple in Dehiwala the only Temple in the world to have a chariot for Anjaneyar.
  • Hanuman’s mother is Anjan. Hanuman is known as Anjan + Aiyar = Anjaneyar in South India (Hanuman in North India).
  • Lunch at Restaurant. Colombo a drive through the city taking you to the busy commercial areas, as well as the tree, lined residential, Cinnamon Gardens, Visit Fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison, Sea Street - the Goldsmiths quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area, where is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings, and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749.
  • Dinner & Overnight stay at Berjaya Mount Royal 3*+ Colombo

DAY 7: COLOMBO-DEPARTURE (B/L/D)

  • After breakfast, start shopping in Colombo, Visit ODEL, House of Fashion, Arcade Independence Square, Race Course
  • Beverly Street, visit the bargain market in Colombo Pettah.
  • Lunch at Restaurant.
  • Continue shopping in Colombo. Dinner at Restaurant, transferred to the Airport for the flight back
