7 DAYS 6 NIGHTS MALTA & SICILY TOUR
Day 1 : Arrival Mdina + Mosta full day tour
Arrival at Malta, Welcome and assistance by Tour guide. Then drive to city of Mdina, Malta’s former capital city. The narrow, winding streets, dating back to medieval times, commanding a magnificent panorama of the island. Following free time, leaving Mdina through Greeks’ Gate.We will visit the San Anton botanical gardens situated near the Presidential Palace, which you will be able to admire from outside. We shall also spend time at the crafts at Ta’Qali. On the way back visit Mosta Dome. Transfer to hotel for overnight.
Day 2 : Full Day Gozo Tou
Breakfast in hotel. Then start full day city Tour. After a ferry crossing you will reach Mgarr harbor, which immediately sets the price to Gozo’s unique atmosphere. Gozo is well known for its crafts, particularly handmade lace and knitted garments. Visitors cannot fail to be impressed by the island’s lush countryside, its serene atmosphere and how different it is from the larger island of Malta. Finish city tour and transfer to hotel for overnight.Day 3 : Full day Valletta Tour
Breakfast in hotel. Then start FD Valletta tour. You will enjoy a nice tour of the capital Valletta, Malta’s capital and World Heritage site is nothing short of an open-air museum. It is a living experience of Baroque architecture, a monument donated by the Knights of St John nearly five centuries ago. Then they proceed to St John’s Co-Cathedral, adorned in riches that date back to the Knights of Malta including the world famous Caravaggio painting that is on display in the Oratory of this Cathedral.We will visit the Church Museum that is adorned with Flemish tapestries. Thereafter, the group will take the typical boat to cross the Harbour we will have a nice Dg?ajsa Tour to go to Valletta. Then, discover the Three Cities- Vittoriosa, Cospicua and Senglea, where the Knights of St. John first settled in 1530. Driving past Cospicua we reach Vittoriosa for a walking tour through the narrow streets in the shade of historic buildings, including the first auberges of the various langue of the Order. Transfer to hotel for overnight.
Day 4 : Valletta – Catania
Breakfast will be served at the hotel restaurant. Check out Malta’s Hotel. Private Coaches will transfer the group to the fishing village of Marsaxlokk – early in the morning – before the flight departure. Arrival to Catania airport, meet & greet with the guide and have lunch in Catania. After walking tour in the city center and transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel.Day 5 : Siracusa / Noto - Full Day tour
Following breakfast, Highlights of this city include the Neapolis Parco Archeologico with its magnificent Greek theatre the island of Ortigia, the Old town of Syracusa. Then we drive to Noto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the finest expressions of Baroque architecture in Southeast Sicily. The major monuments stand in the three parallel streets that form the centre of the town and form, together with the crossroads, a sort of a grid seen from above. Dinner at Nato. transfer to hotel for overnight.Day 6 : Etna / Taormina – Full Day Tour
The Mount Etna is the highest volcano in Europe and with its height of 3300 meters it characterizes and dominates the Eastern part of the island in a unique way. You'll get up by coach to nearly 2000m, where you can walk over the impressive (in the meantime cold) stream of lava of the eruption in 2002. In the afternoon we proceed to Taormina.Widely regarded as Sicily’s most picturesque town, Taormina enjoys a spectacular location on a terrace of Mount Tauro with views to Mount Etna in the west. Its streets are a magnificent blend of historic sites such as the “Teatro Greco” and smart shops and restaurants. Then transfer to hotel for overnight.
Day 7 : Catania/Orange-plantation and Departure
First stop will be Catania. The "Milan of the South" sits at the foot of Mt. Etna, surrounded by orange trees and olive groves.. Catania is a contrast between the Baroque sumptuousness of Piazza del Duomo and the cries of the street vendors in the nearby fish market. Then we'll stop at an Orange Plantation.Here you'll see the citrus fruit plantation and also olive trees. You may have a light snack lunch with self-made products (fresh orange juice, bread with olive oil, olives, cheese, salami, egg-cakes with vegetables, cakes with marmalade, honey) and obviously mineral water & wine! Transfer to Catania airport.
